Will I be able to volunteer during this pandemic?
Yes, many remote volunteer opportunities, such as making appreciation cards, will be provided this year.
Can Interact hours also be used for Green Cord?
Yes, the hours you make in Interact volunteer opportunities can be used for Green Cord. Just make sure you submit an X2vol form twice. One for Interact and one for Green Cord.
Can volunteer opportunities outside of Interact Club be used to earn hours for this club?
No, only Interact opportunities can be used to earn hours for Interact Club. If you have an outside volunteer opportunity that you would want to share with the club for other members, we may make it to where you can earn hours from it.
Why only 15 hours this year?
On a normal year, we would require 30 points/hours, but due to the pandemic, we decided to cut it in half for this year.
How do we know how many points are given for each volunteer opportunity?
1 hour = 1 point. At volunteering events, how many hours you have spent volunteering will be what you enter in X2Vol. If the volunteer opportunity deals with crafts, such as making cards, we will tell you how many cards equal 1 point at our meetings. You can also check the "Hours and Points Masterlist" under the "Important Links" tab to see how many points each opportunity gives.
